If you've ever visited Cornwall I'm sure you'd agree it has the most amazing artistic vibe & growing up in Cornwall, for me, has been a big influence on my work.

I grew up in an artistic home & from a very young age was drawn to art & design, but have been especially excited by jewellery design for the last 10 years or more. The idea of creating a piece of wearable artwork fascinates me.

I started off making beaded jewellery in my spare time, which I eventually made & sold in my own gift shop (which, I must say, helped to keep me sane in the quiet times). Wanting to expand my creativity, I dug out some inspirational books on jewellery design & decided to teach myself silver wire-wrapping. There was huge scope for imagination and I thought the results were very different from what I'd already seen in the shops.

I later decided to expand even further and attended the Art School in Penzance to learn silversmithing. The whole course was a fascinating challenge to me and I immediately started to develop my own style, incorporating wire-wrapping techniques into my designs. I still love the way silver wire can be used to create twists, folds & swirls of movement.

I soon realised that I wanted to start my own jewellery design business, so set up a workspace in my home in Hayle & 2 years later moved into a workshop in Foundry Gallery,  Hayle and I now absolutely love my job.

Having always been attracted to organic materials, I enjoy working with gemstones & creating a unique piece of jewellery that particularly enhances the natural beauty of a single stone. I aim to create unusual beautiful shapes; simple, contemporary and elegant jewellery that also has that touch of class that you will want to wear time and again.
